This trail commencing from Solang takes you to Beas kund or the lake from where the River Beas originates.It showcases the panaromic view of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges.The entire trail follows the banks of the River Beas and the melody of the gushing waters will stay with you throughout the journey.The trail commences from Solang.It is a stone's throw from Manali (17 kms by road) which happens to be the queen tourist attraction of these hills.Solang boasts of some of the best skiing slopes of india.It also harbours a lovely campsite at the Solang Nala, where a night halt is much adviced.Leaving Solang behind, the trail takes you to Dhundi.This quaint little mountain hamlet has nothing to offer save scenic beauty and resonating silence to us weary city souls.From Dhundi to Bakkar thach the trek is more like a leisure walk.Bakkar Thach is a highland meadow and literally means 'Shepherd'd fields'.These sun and wind swept meadows will be a feast for your senses indeed.The next stop on this trek , is Beas Kund, our final destination.It is a frozen lake at the height of 3690 mts.The trek from Bakkar Thach to Beas Kund is a day long, round trip excursion.This truely is a Himalayan wonderland and if the altitude does not take your breath away then the view surely will.

- Day2:Chandigarh to Solang Valley(250 kms by road)
- Day3:Solang to Dhundi( 2840 mts, 3 hrs trek)
- Day4:Dhundi to Bakkar thach(3690 mts)
- Day5:Bakkar Thach to Beas kund and back( day long excursion, 4950 mts)
- Day6:Bakkar Thach to Solang nala
- Day7:Solang to Manali(17 kms by road)
- Day8:Manali to Delhi
