This wonderful trek starts from Thangi in Kinnaur of Himachal Pradesh. The route circuits the revered and picturesque Kinnaur Kailash Mountain through Charang ghati pass. Kinnaur the name says it all, the name have mention in many mythologies, is so synonymous for beautiful landscapes and the people. These trails have been less used and pristine. The Kinnaur Kailash Range borders the District of Kinnaur in the south and is dominated by the Kinnaur Kailash (6349 Mts) and Jonkarden (6473 Mts) peaks. The only pass on this trek is the Charang La (Pass) at an awesome altitude of 5300 Mts above sea level .The trek is challenging and also rewarding for experienced and new trekkers alike. kinnaur is one of the few landscapes makes one forget oneself in the lap of Mother Nature. With beautiful gorges, alluring water falls, awesome mountain peaks, mesmerizing flora / Fauna. Above all View of kailash will leave one spellbound. Ending of first trial is by crossing to Chitkul the last village in the Baspa valley, winding through green pastures, is quite cool village, commanding startling mountain views.
The trek continues further to Lamkhaga Pass, situated at an altitude of about 5,284 m, and is in Kinnaur District of Himachal Pradesh. The pass divides Garhwal region from Himachal. The way leading to the pass is scenic with forests, lakes, and a variety of flowers and animals. The pass ends at Harsil, near Gangotri on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. Where Ganganani hot springs are waiting to massage your tired nerves with her cozy hot water. Washed and Rejuvenated by hot springs, the trek concludes with a customary visit to Gangotri before you head back home with content and reverence.
