Namik Glacier Trek
Overview:
Namik glacier trek is situated in Kumaon Himalayas at an attitude of 3,600 mtrs. It is 40 km from Munsiyari and situated at the villages of Gogina and Namik. The glacier is surrounded by peaks like Nanda Devi (7,848 m) -Goddess of Bliss, Nanda Kot (6,861 m), and Trishul (7,120 m).The glacier falls on ancient Indo-Tibet trade route. There are a number of waterfalls and Natural sulphur springs originating around this glacier. The glacier can be reached by trekking from Bala village on Thal - Munsiyari road near Birthi Fall. It is 129 km from Pithoragarh.
Itinerary :
Day 01: Reach N.Delhi transfer Delhi Rlwy station Overnight Journey to Kathgodam.
Day 02: Arrive at Kathgodam drive to Chaukori 198 kms 5/6hrs via Almora reach Chakouri.Halt.
Day 03: Drive from Chaukori to Munsyari 98 kms 3/4 hrs spectacular view of Panchachuli Massif trek to Sena Gad Meadows 7 km 3/4 hrs.Halt.
Day 04: Start early Senar Gad - Dhaldauk trek 11 km 4/5 hrs.Halt.
Day 05: Start early Dhaldauk - Sudamkhan 7 km / 3 hrs.Halt.
Day 06: Trek Sudamkhan - Hiramani Glacier 9 km /4 hrs.Halt
Day 08: Trek Hiramani Glacier - Namik Glacier - Sudamkhan 14 kms 5/6 hrs.Spectacular views of Nandakot peak from close quarters.Halt.
Day 09: Trek Sudamkhan - Namik Village 11 km trek/5 hrs.Halt.
Day 10: Trek Namik Village - Gogina 6 km /3 hrs.Halt.
Day 11: Trek Gogina - Liti 19 km /6 hrs.Halt.
Day 12: Start early Drive Liti - Bageshwar – Kathgodam 190 kms 5/6 hrs.Overnight Journey by Train to Delhi.
Day 13: Reach Delhi transfer to Hotel.
